RTW's Sky Climb is a one mile uphill race that gains a total of 1660 feet beginning at Schweitzer Village and finishing at the Skyhouse. This is a grueling, beautiful climb over stunning, off-piste subalpine terrain. Wildflowers and wildlife abound, with views extending from Lake Pend Oreille to Montana.
Sky Climb finishers will get a Race the Wolf logo stainless steel trophy pint cup at the top when they finish, yes and it is right by the Skyhouse that has cold beverages to put in it!!! Complimentary chair lift ride back down to the village. Ya- you earned it!!
Run, hike or crawl the Sky Climb to make your epic race day victory, or run it as a second race with any other Race the Wolf event to become an Alpha Wolf. All Alpha Wolf finishers completing two or more events take home a custom Alpha Wolf stainless steel pint cup!
Start: 3:00PM
Chip Timing and Results: Time starts when you cross the start and finish timing mats. Results published on Runsignup.
Awards: 1-3 overall and all finishers earn a Sky Climb custom stainless steel trophy pint cup!
Packet Pickup: Race Day 1:00PM to race start.
Spectating: Watch your friends or family start at the village starting line then ride the Great Escape Lift to see them climb, then watch them finish on top at the Sky House!
Skyhouse Cutoff: Participants must finish by 5PM to be an official finisher and can ride the Great Escape down back to the village. Ya, this is a really cool way to recover holding your very cool stainless steel finishers cup with an icy cold refreshment in it!
Parking: In Gateway Parking Lot by Village.
No bib transfers, no refunds and no deferrals.
The races will be held rain or shine and you are responsible for your well being under possible weather changes that may occur.
